I hope that 2021 finds you safe, healthy, and happy. It has now been just over a year since our lives were turned upside down, and for me, it's hard to remember what "normal" was. I have emerged through the change curve and have adopted a new way of living and working. You could say I am a living and breathing embodiment of successful change adoption.
While our lives have changed and we have adopted new ways of connecting, the mission of ACMP Florida has remained constant. Our mission is to "grow and connect the organizational change management community through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and professional development opportunities." With that mission in mind, your Board of Directors met in early February to plan for the continued development of our chapter.
Based on your feedback and guidance from ACMP Global, we are excited to move our chapter to the next level. You told us you are looking for a true Community of Practice, so we plan to offer more practical and usable content through our First Thursday - Tactics and Tools events we launched in April. We will continue our popular Coffee Hours, which are unstructured change conversations that have become a powerful platform for our members to share and learn. If you haven't attended one yet, I highly recommend you do so.
This year will also be a year when we work on building our brand within the community. This effort will help us stand up our outreach efforts outside of our chapter to set the stage for more community, social, and educational outreach. Stay tuned for developments on this front later in the year.
Finally, the Board has plans to further formalize our internal governance. While this is never glamorous work, it is vital to ensure the chapter's continued good governance.
In closing, I want to encourage you all to visit us regularly at www.ACMPFlorida.org to discover all the great information and ongoing opportunities your ACMP Florida Chapter has available for you. We are constantly adding new content, so be sure to visit often.
Sincerely,
Julie Anne Leggett, PMP®, CCMP™, Prosci®
